Project Description
It is a Urdu Spellchecker for FireFox. As FireFox calls all spell checkers "Dictionaries" by convention, we have also named it a "Dictionary" although it is a spell checker

The spell checker combines multiple word lists for the dictionary. Following are the major sources used
  1. Urdu word list provided at the web site of Center for Research in Urdu Language Processing (CRULP): http://www.crulp.org/software/ling_resources/wordlist.htm
  2. Urdu word list created by our friends at Urdu Mehfil: http://www.urduweb.org/mehfil/forum.php
  3. Word list created by scanning daily Jang articles.

The dictionary used by the extension is in HunSpell format as FireFox uses the HunSpell spell checker. For more information on the file format and features of HunSpell, please check http://sourceforge.net/docman/display_doc.php?docid=29374&group_id=143754

Installing the Add-On

The easiest way to install it is to get it from FireFox Add-ons site https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/7981. Just go there and click "Add to Firefox". The wizard will guide you through the rest of the process.

If for some reason, the Firefox Add-ons site does not have the latest version or you want to install an older version, you can get it from here. Go to the "Downloads" tab and download the version that you want to install. After downloading, open the file using FireFox. FireFox will recognize it as an Add-on and ask for your permission to install. Allow the installation by clicking "Install". For detailed step by step instructions with screen shots, see Installing the Add-on
